Your journey begins here.
This page is an invitation to a different kind of ride.
Ride For A Cleaner Himalayas is a first-of-its-kind fellowship to accelerate waste management, powered by Royal Enfield Social Mission and Further and Beyond Foundation, under the Himalayan Fringes Project.
This is not an awareness ride. It’s a learning and action pilot.
Over 12 days a small cohort of women riders will come together to understand waste where it actually exists—on the ground across real terrain, within real systems.
The intention is simple: to observe closely, learn deeply, and contribute meaningfully to long-term solutions.
What this is
This fellowship is designed for riders who are curious about how landscapes, communities, and systems intersect.
Participants will:
- ride through Himalayan terrain with purpose and continuity
- observe and document waste flows in real conditions
- engage with local contexts and lived realities
- contribute insights that can inform future interventions
Motorcycles are essential here as tools that allow access, immersion, and understanding in places where systems fragmented.
Who this is for
We’re inviting eight women riders who:
- are comfortable on a motorcycle and open to challenging terrain
- ride with intention, curiosity, and respect for place
- are willing to learn, observe, and contribute—not just consume
- care about the Himalayas and the futures tied to them
You do not need to be a sustainability expert. You do need to be present, open, and engaged.
Who this may not be for
This may not be the right fit if you’re looking for:
- a leisure or sightseeing ride
- a social media-led campaign or brand collaboration
- a fast-paced, thrill-first motorcycling experience
This is slower, deeper work—on and off the road.
